1 RTR Open Day 10th June 2006

Here are my images that I took on the open day.  There were loads and loads of images taken, just waiting now for them to be sent on. My thanks to the CO, Captain Daz Logan, RSM Iain Thompson, Mike O'Connor, "Bill" Haley, Greeno, Jaggsie and all the lads we met today. It was a memorable day. I spotted Brig Maxwell (retd) in the Command Bunker and Paul & I introduced ourselves. His memory is quite good still.  He was Paul's first CO and my second, after (then) Lt Col Beardsworth.  Thanks to the lad who showed around us RHQ, Rigby I think was his name. Met up with Al Hodges, Tommy Cormack, Marti Lawson, Rat Reed, Fergie, Gary Hatfield (and his son Cpl Craig Hatfield), Jurgen Dyer, Harry Robinson, Gary Herbert, Dave Lewis, Paul Ramsay, Gilby, Barry Hoare and a couple of others whose names have slipped my mind just now.
