Just to remember another of our friends Ralph. Elliot Taylor (GINGE) not certain of the dates he joined or left the Regiment, but he was certainly an active member of the regiment and by god how he liked a drink and to have fun. When he passed away in 2003,I along with others had the honor to carry his coffin into the church. Well to all who have left us RIP

There certainly was an input when Ginge left us!
Myself, Dave Barras, Mick Shearing, Sooty, Alan Walby and ? C'mon somebody - remind me - carried the coffin into the church.
We then joined his many family and friends and gave him a good send off!

It was me.Ginge was my driver and Ray Steele the gunner.Happy days in C Sqn. on 31 Bravo.I never thought that we would part of the same crew again on such a sad occasion.Ginge was a great lad,the last time I saw him was at the amalgamation parade at Tidworth. We had a great time and said we would keep in touch but unfortunatly we never did.RIP old friend.

Ginge was a good mate of mine and we shared a good many pints together along with Derek Atherton in the early 70s. He was responsible for me meeting my long standing, 34yrs, wife and perhaps my decsion to leave the regiment shortly after I got married. Those that know him, will remember his Bird Impressions that he would perform at mess do,s which went down well with the lady's. I often wondered how he was keeping and onl found Rays thread a day or so ago. Well old mate, heres to you, guinnessand long may you RIP.
