2Lt Dave Barkley served with 1 RTR 1971 - 1974. Just spotted in the current Tank Magazine that he has passed onto the green fields aged 53 in November 2004.

Dave Barclay was my Tp Ldr when I first joined the Regt. 1 Troop A Sqn with the Likes of Spock, Harry Dennison, Loz, Steve Chandler. Mick Atherton, Stevie Turner, Derek Lucas, Sid Muchmore, Paul Gav et al. Carried on with 1 Troop in Omagh but forget where he went afterwards. A quiet guy but a true gentleman.

The Tank spells it Barkley but I thought it was Barclay, but presume Tank is right.
